GB Charity Events is an adventure travel company that specialises in the organisation, leadership and administration of challenging and enjoyable UK challenge events in aid of charity. We offer events that include hill walking, mountain bike rides, water based activities and multi-activity team building experiences.
GB Charity Events was founded in 2007 after five years of organising outdoor challenge events for charity on a voluntary basis. We enjoy devoting our time to providing challenging events and experiences that people liked to take part in support of charity.
Not only do we have years’ of experience in managing and delivering challenge events but we have staff who have worked within the charity sector as an Event Manager for several years – so we know intimately the nature and needs of charities when they encourage their supporters to fundraise through challenge events.
We are committed to sustainable event solutions and believe responsible tourism is extremely important. Our commitment means that we use local guides, instructors and other essential support staff and where we can support and use local business for accommodation, catering and other necessary services. In doing this we aim to have a positive impact on local people and their community.
We are also fully committed to the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice for Outdoor Fundraising to ensure that we work with National Parks and local Mountain Rescue so that we take care of the great outdoors and avoid negative impact on the mountainside and with local communities.
Paramount to the delivery of our events is our concern for participants safety at all times whilst they take part in our challenges. We do this by offering comprehensive advice prior to booking and put in place a full support package that addresses information on fitness training, travel tips, responsible travel guidance and fundraising ideas.
