A new service called Towards Independence trains young disabled people in domestic and other practical life skills, such as handling money and using public transport. Please give generously. |
Perfect Day Foundation |
(Click the logo for more information) |
The Perfect Day Foundation established in 2008 to ensure the friendships formed on the sports fields of Zambia will develop to benefit future generations of sports people, both in Zambia and the UK. We work with a number of young Zambians who give up their time to ensure that their peers in deprived communities have the opportunity to take part in sports and games sessions, as well as running workshops aiming to build lifeskills and AIDS awareness in these communities. Many of these inspirational young people are orphaned, and cannot afford school fees and uniforms. One of the ways in which people in the UK can help, is in raising the (very small) amounts of money needed to pay the school fees of these Peer Leaders to allow them to gain an education while continue to inspire and improve the lives of all those attending their sports classes and workshops. |
